Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prick the potato and fry in the vegetable oil until golden; lift out.

  2. Step 2: Fry the onion until brown, then add the ginger paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder and ground turmeric.

  3. Step 3: Add the tomato and salt and cook until the oil separates.

  4. Step 4: Add the potatoes and water, cover and simmer until the gravy is thick; finish with the garam masala.
