Instructions
Step 1: Brown the onion in the vegetable oil, then the beef brisket with the ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, ground turmeric, fennel powder and salt.
Step 2: Add the water, cover and simmer very gently until the beef is falling apart.
Step 3: Whisk the plain flour with a little cold water, stir it into the stew with the garam masala and simmer until thick.
Step 4: Serve with the lemon wedges and fresh ginger.
