Instructions
Step 1: Grind the soaked yellow mustard seeds with the desiccated coconut, two green chillies, ground turmeric and salt to a thick paste.
Step 2: Coat the hilsa fish steaks with the paste and two tablespoons of mustard oil.
Step 3: Wrap each steak in banana leaves with a slit green chilli and tie with thread.
Step 4: Cook the parcels on an oiled griddle, covered, for about 10 minutes a side until the leaves char and the fish is cooked through.
