Instructions

  1. Step 1: Fry the sliced onion in the vegetable oil until soft and golden.

  2. Step 2: Add the ginger garlic paste, ground turmeric, chilli powder, cumin powder and salt and fry for a minute.

  3. Step 3: Add the chicken pieces and the halved potato and turn them in the masala.

  4. Step 4: Pour in the water and simmer, covered, until the chicken is cooked through and the potato tender.

  5. Step 5: Check the chicken juices run clear, then finish with fresh coriander.
