Instructions
Step 1: Blend the soaked dried chillies, shallots, garlic and belacan into a smooth paste.
Step 2: Fry the paste in oil over medium heat for twelve minutes until the oil separates.
Step 3: Stir in the tamarind water and sugar and cook for two minutes.
Step 4: Add the prawns and toss to coat.
Step 5: Cook for five minutes until the prawns are just firm.
Step 6: Season with salt and finish with sliced onion rings.
